It’s not the most wonderful or romantic thought, but it’s true: your chances of finding a husband greatly increase if your weight is under control. Look at before and after pictures of women who have lost a lot of weight. It’s remarkable how highly correlated weight and attractiveness are; you can see before an after pictures with an overweight woman who really isn’t attractive in the slightest, and as soon as she drop 30 pounds, suddenly she’s drop-dead gorgeous. Never, ever take your weight for granted. It is absolutely imperative that you stay thin in order to increase your value as a potential wife in the eyes of men.
So with that out of the way, here are some practical hints and tips on ways to stay thin to get a husband:
Eat Less
Duh! Right? But seriously, there’s so much to be said for portion control in your diet. I have friends who seemingly eat the most horrible food ever: nachos, pizza, hamburgers, cheesecake… and yet they stay thin! For years, it always puzzled me how on earth they managed to do this. Then one day I figured it out: sure, they eat food that is bad for you, but they just don’t eat very much of it! So knock yourself out, eat what you want, just learn to put the fork down once you’ve had enough.
Yoga
Yoga is a great way to stay thin. Hot yoga (also known as “Bikram Yoga”) in particular is a fantastic way to keep the pounds off. The room is heated to 105 degrees where you go through 90 minutes of complex stretches. Depending on your body weight and height, you could burn as many as 1,000 calories in a single session of hot yoga. You might have to jog upwards of 6-9 miles to get that type of caloric expenditure! Best of all, yoga is pretty fun and increases your health and flexibility in a big way!
No Food Two Hours Before Bed
Most of the food we eat right before going to bed is stored as fat. After all, since we’re no long moving around, it’s hard for the body to burn off that bag of popcorn you ate while watching a late night movie. All of this stuff is stored as fat. Implement a new rule for yourself: no food two hours before bed.
Don’t Drink a Ton of Calories
The biggest single way in which people could drop those few extra pounds is to stop drinking calories! A single can of non-diet soda has 120 calories. Even if you only drink a couple of these per day, that really adds up! The same can be said for fruit juices. Despite common understanding that a glass of juice is good for you, it’s really not. Juice is composed almost entirely of sugar and therefore is very high in calories. You can get your vitamin C by eating broccoli or other leafy vegetables. Lastly, if you drink alcohol, avoid the “girly drinks” made with lots of tasty syrups. These are absolutely horrible for you! A “low-cal” beer (like Bud Select or Mich Ultra) or a drink mixed with diet soda (like a rum-and-diet) are much better alternatives.
