A relationship with a so so Romeo seems to be what a lot of girls are after lately. At first glance, a relationship between a seemingly together girl, and her new age Romeo, looks sort of normal. But after a while it’s obvious that the guy is much less invested than the girl, or at least that is the illusion he is trying to create. But what’s even more bizarre than that, is how his girlfriend doesn’t seem to notice or mind that her guy is treating her like she should be thanking her lucky stars every time he gives her the time of day.
A brief summary of this guy’s style would look something like this: He is wearing his pants so baggy his entire backside is hanging out, and it’s, oh so, not impressive. He has enough gel in his hair to poke out an eye, or anything else that happens to get impaled on the spiked tips jutting out of the top of his head. When you get within about a mile of him, you realize that he used at least half a bottle of cologne, lucky it was the cheap stuff. And for having such deep pockets, literally, he doesn’t seem to ever reach into them to pay for anything.
Even more bizarre than seeing a couple like this out and about, is knowing, a couple like this. It really makes you wonder what she can be seeing in him that would make her ignore how ridiculous he is. But if the guy really has an outstanding personality that he keeps hidden away, only to come out when they are alone, it would make perfect sense. He probably writes her poems and love letters. He could pick flowers from the garden and bring them to her every day, or bring her breakfast in bed. Maybe he washes her car and fills up the gas tank. But what if he really doesn’t do any of these sweet romantic things? Then this Romeo probably has a lot more disappointing behavior to add to his list. Like being emotionally distant, and the list goes on: he is always late when they have plans, he doesn’t call when he says he will, and becomes sarcastic and argumentative whenever she tries to tell him how she feels about the way he treats her.
This is not an exception to the rule, or the story of a guy who just got really lucky. These are the kind of guys who are getting successful, hot, and smart girls to go out with them. They do not have to pull a bait and switch. This is what today’s Romeo looks and acts like. Girls are finding these guys without excuses, sexy and raw. They truly seem to love the fact that the guy feels no need t try and be anything special to please anybody. He is just himself and you can take him or leave him. And mostly, they take him.
